Jesus The Burden Lifter

Jesus is my burden lifter. There is nothing too heavy for Him to carry.

Help me cross over to 2009 with greater confidence, and give me the grace to lead.

I do not know my left and my right, I am totally dependent on You.

Stir up that deep hunger that I had in the days of my youth..

Dig deep the foundation that I may stand stronger in days of difficulties..

Jesus, You are my burden lifter... I lay it all down..

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." - Jesus (Matt 11:28-30)

'Ip Man' the movie

This show is da bomb! Seriously, very inspiring and alot of lessons we can learn from it..

Somethings that I've learnt after watching this movie...
1) Character make someone from ordinary to extraordinary.
2) Sit, Walk, Stand!! (From the life of Ip Man)
3) Leaving a legacy

I Just Want You...

You asked: Who?
My reply: Jesus...
You asked: Why?
My reply: Because He is my everything..
You asked: What did He do for you?
My reply: He died for me.. and gave me hope, a life and a destiny...
You asked: How are you going to give back in return of favor.
My reply: He did it willing without expecting a return..

(A silent moment that lasted for 10 seconds)

My reply: But I will love Him and serve Him with all of my heart till I see Him again...

I am re-committing my life for the coming new year to serve Him and love Him..

I just want more of Jesus in my life...

Deeply in love...

Family Bonding

For a very long time we have not sit down like this together as a family to talk and show care and concern for one another. My brother and sister in law came over today to check my mum out.

She was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her nose and she was very worried and affected. Today was a time where we really talk to one another and asking one another to take care of themselves. Encouraging each other to stay positive and we are in this together as a family. Despite of the bad news and solemn moments, there were laughter as we talk about things and life.. This was the family moment that I have not experience for a long long time. I thank God for it and it is precious.

Please pray for my mum as the doctor still do not know which stage she is currently in. But I choose to believe God for miracles and through this my entire household shall come to know Him because He is in control! =)

Anyway it is Christmas Eve!! I am going to do something that I have not been doing as a son of the family in many festive season.. I am going to get some gift for my parents, brother, sister in law and also my nephew and neices...

Blessed Christmas Eve to all!

A Mission That Changed My Life

http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/album.php?aid=55759&id=571917156

12/12/08 - 19/12/08

A mission trip that is so different from those i went before.. Past few missions was about me going to pray for people, share, lead worship, do ministry and minister to people. But for this, all I do was to be a helper and just to do some practical stuff like teach guitar, simple games and drama. Due to our poor chinese, we can't really preach (shared for 10 mins) in chinese or even pray for them (except to say grace). Only thing we can do is to teach practical stuff.

And to move around was rather troublesome... as we can walk in a big group but in pairs or in small groups so that we won't become an attention as many many PSB plain clothes police may be roaming around. We can't let the Church member knows that we are foreigners, we can't speak english at all... Basically full of restriction due to security reason as our friends there are being closing watched by all this secret police.

At first when I was there, I felt abit handicapp and useless.. most of the things were done by Joanne. But God spoke to me to observe and hear His heart and just do whatever I am told to do (I know God is teaching me meekness and humility... to be led by others and me not leading.) So I just basically wait for instructions and try my best to teach and communicate with them. Seriously it is tough! I was rather discouraged..

But at the end of the training, what was impacting was when I see people who are more senior, who have been through life, persecution coming to us and thank us with tears in their eyes..telling us how much we have been a help and support to them (despite of our language barrier). Just by being there, they felt affirmed and supported.. In my heart I was like what have we done? All these are simple and common games we all play back in Singapore, what is so big deal about it. But to them it is a whole lot big deal. They tried their best to absorb whatever they can and really use it to expand God's Kingdom. Hahaha.. Even by thinking of the way they appreciate this little things now move my heart. Really I felt ashamed and also humbled by them.. People travel all the way from other villages to come and learn things like this without any complain and hearts was filled with gradtitude.. yet time again we complain about everything we can complain... Hahaha

On the last day, at the train station.. it was an emotional moment.. I'll never thought that I will cry.. LOL well.. I was crying not because I am emo or what.. but just that sense of unsatisfaction that there is so much we could have done but because of our language, we are limited. One of the youth (18 years old guy) just sat there beside me.. somehow look like he was stoning. Then Joanne and I turn and asked him whether he is alright. Then he replied..."Ni men yao zhou le (you guys are leaving already..) and he started crying.. And suddenly God just drop a bomb on me.. and i begin to feel His heart for that young man and slowly to the people around me in that place.. suddenly my eyes just filled with tears and i started crying while putting my hand over Ah Zhi's shoulder... feeling so helpless yet overwhelmed but God's heart felling His love for them.. It was rather quiet.. but yet we can feel that sense of gradtitude and bond of love in that place..

Boarding the train was the climax.. LOL.. Everyone of us cried and they were standing at the platform doing all the actions of those games we thought them.. to show that they will always remember all that we have thought them and use it for God's Kingdom. It just left me speechless and broken down.. that so ruined me.. Their love for one another, passion for the Kingdom, hunger for the things of God and their love for Jesus shows it even without words.. We may have the resources and knowledge, but we are so in lack of what they have.. God give me what they have..

I came back with a determination in my heart, which is
1) To love people without any reservation.
2) Don't want to take things for granted and be complacent or comfortable despite of all that we have.
3) To be appreciative and grateful for the little things people do for me..
4) To draw nearer to God to love Him and feel His heart for people..

Well.. I think by far this is the most impacting trip i have ever been in my life.. I thank God He gave me time to observe and learn from my friends in China.. that leave a mark in my life..

Thank you Jesus.... Thank you my friends from China.. I will keep you guys in prayer and I will be back there to pray with you guys in chinese and preach in chinese.. I mean it..

Determined,
Jason Chua

I feel happy after working out some fats!

Thank God for secondary school friends whose passion is still soccer! Today was a full and packed day. Almost died of work overload. Got to prepare my work and assign them to my colleagues to take over temporary while I am away. Glad to receive an sms from my friend (in the midst of my busyness)! They asked me to go play soccer at Bedok, near my Primary School (Red Swastika)

Sadly, after 1 match of game my shoes give way... =( Well, at least I got to run and score some beautifuly goals! LOL.. After the game of soccer, I decided to walk back from Bedok 85 Market back to my home at Tampines!! LOL.. Radical but bound to lose some weight after that! It took me quite a while to reach home, and I feel SO TIRED now.. LOL

Seriously speaking, sometimes we are too busy with the things that we do in our daily life and we neglected the beauty of His Creation! As I walked under the stars and looking at the trees and nature, I have come to appreciate and know that God is Awesome! Everything that He made is BEAUTIFUL and EXCELLENCE!

Just saw the YAHOO NEWS.. the Chicken in Hong Kong is now inflicted with Bird Flu... Dodo Bird, if you ever see this post, please warn your parents and beware of the chickens you all eat! Take Care ya?

3 More days to the forbidden land... feeling even more nervous.. I need more GRACE...

See you soon... Christmas.. =)

Longing,

New Camera!

Today went to buy some necessary things for mission in City XYZ in China. Then we went to Funan IT Mall to walk walk, see see, look look... and realize everything they sell there is the same thing.. the ONLY THING that is different is the prices...

Cons and I went to a few places to look for a Camera, got 2 cameras caught my attention. One is Canon G10 (Semi Pro) and the other one is Canon Ixus 980 IS (Digital Cam)!! The price difference is only 100 plus.. It was so tempting for me to get the G10, BUT.. all because of Christine Cheng... spoke over my life words of discouragement yesterday.. stop me from buying a SEMI PRO... She said i dont have the skill yet.. which i know its TRUE!! LOL.. Thanks Christine. And also THANKS CONS for being my wisdom in choosing.

Seriously.. I felt soooooo cheated after buying it... WHY? Because as I happily walk off from the shop that I bought the camera from, beside it was another one shop that sell at a cheaper price!!!! Seriously, never will I expect there will be another cheaper one!!!! Because we walk past a few shops and ask for the price for the same camera.. Every shop we went into, it gets cheaper!! Worst still, the shop that sell cheaper looks cleaner, more honest, smells better!!! What really make me feel the pain was the guy said, "I don't recommend you to buy this model...." *feels like a knife stabbed into my heart* Urgh~ Some more their shop name is named after a verse in the bible (John 3:16)...

Well, overall I am contented with this camera despite of all these.. I'm not a pro in snapping and shooting, neither am I SEMI PRO! Hehehe.

I hereby proudly present to you my new camera. It looks cool like this with 3 legs! - CANON IXUS 980 IS (14.7 Mega Pixels)!

This is going to be my last time using my iPhone 2.0 Mega Pix taking photos! =) And waiting for Jiajian to teach me how to take nice shots. LOL!

4 more days to the forbidden land... Lord give grace..

Satisfied...

An Emotional Day!

Today was rather eventful and also feel rather distracted. I asked my friends, peers, members whether they felt distracted throughout the whole service. Majority said yes or somehow abit. Partly was because of the renovation that is happening in Church, also something in the air was rather heavy and dense.. I can't explained it.

As for me, I was very distracted and disturbed throughout the whole service. Well, somethings happened and I felt rather horrible on the inside. Alot of struggles in my emotions and all but well thank God, everything was clarified and cleared after 3rd Service. I just want to apologize for everything.

Somehow on the inside of me is rather heavy throughout the day, due to the things that happened and also what is going on around me.. I need grace and strength, so if you are reading this, please pray for me...

Yes! Most importantly, pray for me if you can when I go China. Ask God for protection for me and my team, also a special grace for us to function and communicate clearly despite of the handicap that we have. Much prayer is needed.. Thank you guys! =)

P/S - I bought 4 pcs of wrapping paper that cost me S$20!!!!! =(

See you guys on the 21st December! Miss you all! =)

Much Grace,
Jason.C

A Day Of Many Fellowship!

Today was a full and packed day! From morning, the Zone Leaders met Pastor Daniel at his new house (Simply Awesome.. sooooooo nice) for breakfast. Had a good and challenging discussion and talk. After that session of fellowship it got my brain thinking and I got to seriously be more hands on with my Zone. I need to learn to relate more with my members and raise the next tiers of leaders up!! =)
After that I went to look for some of my cell member. Today's cell meeting is one fun one. We all gathered at Simei Care Centre to do a garage sales. And guess what!? Many things was sold and it was rather fruitful. Anyway all these money that we earn is going to be used for a home that we are going to adopt as a zone. Great job guys! I am so proud of you!! Some picture below to let you see all the heroes and heroines!! I kind of miss Emi and Joshua.. Where are you guys! (If you happen to see them, ask them to come read this post.. let them know how much I miss them!)Hahaha.. Well.. I can't express myself well with words, but somehow whenever I typed or write a letter, I can express better. Hahahah.

The Heroines! (Not the drugs, but they are addictive as well)
Nice Pose Chris & WZ! =)

Can You find the bear?

Proudly Present You Our Garage Bear!

Mr Garage Bear!

After the garage sales, Jiancong, Sabby and I met for dinner at Coffee Club at Siglap.. Once again..EATING!! LOL. This is my fourth treat in the month.. Maybe God really bless me so that I can bless others. But I guess, I need to save up as well!!! LOL. Same thing happen, I was too engross in eating, forgot to take photos of the food. So what you see below are the left overs... My zone members told me that this blog is like some food blog to show all the different kinds of food in different location. Hahahaha.
We had a great talk. Got to know each other better. About our personal calling and struggles within the zone. And now we all know.. we are not the only one struggles!!! We broke out in laughter and joke about having the thought that other zones are doing well and seemingly growing except our own.. And we came to this conclusion, "The pasture on the other side always looked greener!!"

More than the laughter and food, I know we grew closer as friends and also co-worker in the Kingdom of God. Let's change this world together and impact this generation with the 5 loaves and 2 fishes that we have.

Hope to see you soon...

Waiting Patiently...
